Ok. Here we go again. As the summer heated up it robbed all the moisture from the clay soil we are building this track with. It made it impossible to pack the track down and harden it off so that it is rideable. Now that the weather is cooling off and we are getting a little moisture we will be working hard to finish this off for fall riding. After the track itself is hardened off we will clean up the edges of the track and start on the tabletop jump line.

Almost there!

We had another great work day today and now have the entire track laid in. We will water it this weekend and it should be hardened off and ready to ride next week. Here are some of the photos of the track.

Here is a plan of the Pump track and a rough idea about the dirt jump line. We will be adding a little kids area as well (not shown on plan).

The track area in green has been completed and rideable! The Blue has been roughed in and needs to be sculpted and packed. Little by little we will build this thing. Thanks to Tim Giles for all his dedication to this project! If you want to help dig, email ogdenbikes@gmail.com and we will put you on the work email list.

Another Productive Day

Another Productive Day at the pump track. On the 10th, we had assistance from Ogden City again and now have the entire pump track laid out and the dirt is mostly in place for the pump track. Now the rest is up to us. we had about 15 people show up throughout the day and made substantial progress. Check out the photos below. Thanks to everyone who came out to help.

Pump Track Build June 10th
There will be a work day on Thursday June 10th. The city will be providing a loader and water for the construction. We will start at 8am and will be working throughout the day to get this pump track whipped into shape. The new plan for the pump track by Tim Giles, will make it a little larger and a lot faster. It should have much better flow than the original layout. Come on out and help us build this track. We have plenty of material, we just need shovels and the people to work them.

Downtown Ogden Pump track and Bike Park Underway

With Support from Ogden City, local cyclists will be getting a new playground on the corner of 20th and Grant. The Construction of a bike park in the downtown area is now underway. Dirt has been delivered and the first section of the pump track is now rideable. Next will come the second half of the pump track, a little kids area and a line of dirt jumps. Want to get in on the action and help dig? email OgdenBikes@gmail.com. Here are some of the construction photos:
